Program:

• We will come to pick you up at your

accommodation (8:30/9:00).

• Exploration of a spectacular lava flow cave.

(Helmets and torches supplied by us).

• Visit of extinct craters at an approximate

height of 2000 m. Soft Trekking suitable

for everyone.

• Return to your accommodation.

to 16:00 / 16:30.

We will come to pick you up near / near your accomodation, hotel, port between 8:30/9:00.

An amazing escorted tour to discover one of the live liest city in Southern Italy, Catania and the restless Giant, mount Etna.

Our journey begins with the visit of Catania, it has been stated Unesco World Heritage Site, you can immediately recognize it with its original baroque style and its unique streets built with lava black stone!

You can admire the magnificent Cathedral, symbol of devotion to the patron Saint Agata and the famous Duomo Square where the “Liotru” statue (a black lava stone elephant statue) is set, symbol of the city.
We will not miss the opportunity to take a walk inside the chaotic Fish market.

We will continue reaching mount Etna from the South side.

Driving up we will see landscape changing under our eyes and we will have a nice hike through extint craters and unique lava formations, our naturalistic guide will introduce you to the fascinating world of volcanic phenomena.

We will then explore a volcanic cave equipped with the necessary equipment (helmets and torches).

If weather conditions allow, we will have the opportunity to make a snack or lunch (optional) in a refuge or chalet during the way.
