We will come to pick you up near / near your accomodation, hotel, port between 7:30/8:00

This is a fantastic full day excursion giving you an insight into the area made famous by the TV series “Inspector Montalbano”. You will be collected from your preferred location; we will drive along the Eastern highway where our journey will take us to the fantastic late Sicilian baroque.

The tour will start with Ragusa Ibla. Let enjoy your eyes: harmony of shapes, lights and colours between alleys, courts, houses, churches, palaces of XVIII century surrounded by natural landscapes and the beautiful Hyblean Garden standing above the Irminio river valley.

Next stop is Montalbano’s house at Punta Secca. Especially relevant, in this stop of Montalbano tour we will take you to ‘Marinella‘ and Montalbano’s house by the sea. ‘Marinella‘ is really Punta Secca, a small fishing village where you can recognize Montalbano’s house. The village has a lighthouse, a small port and an old watchtower (Torre Scalambri). The Punta Secca Lighthouse is the famous landmark. Free time to make photos and enjoy the beach.

After this stop, we arrive to Scicli. The police station in “Vigata” where Montalbano plies his trade is actually the town hall of Scicli in the beautifully conserved baroque street of Via Mormino Penna. Furthermore Scicli is also a UNESCO World Heritage site and there are many baroque churches, palaces and historical buildings to explore.

Last stop is to see the magnificent Modica, another glorious baroque town and UNESCO heritage site. Walking around the streets of this Baroque jewel, you can’t miss out the magnificent Church of San Giorgio and the handsome façade of Palazzo Polara which appear in the Montalbano TV series.

Modica, is also well known for Chocolate. In addition, you will have a tasting of Modican chocolate, particular because it exactly how the Aztecs (and the Mexicans until the nineteenth century) made chocolate.

Program:

• We will come to pick you up at your

accommodation (7:30/8:00).

• Ragusa Ibla, the main places chosen as

settings for the TV series..

• Scicli where the heart of the series is

filmed and the police station is set.

• Last stop to Modica, enchanting town with

many beautiful churche.

• Return to your accommodation.
