Our journey begins with the visit of Catania, it has been stated Unesco World Heritage Site, you can immediately recognize it with its original baroque style and its unique streets built with lava black stone!

You can admire the magnificent Cathedral, symbol of devotion to the patron Saint Agata and the famous Duomo Square where the “Liotru” statue (a black lava stone elephant statue) is set, symbol of the city. 

We will not miss the opportunity to take a walk inside the chaotic Fish market and through the famous shopping area, in the Via Etnea.

We will proceed for a panoramic tour of the seaside towns of Aci Castello (which takes its name from its Norman Castle). Here you will get some great photo opportunities of this fantastic Normans castle and fishing village.

Next, we will move on Aci Trezza that is a fishing village, 10km North of Catania, whose panorama is commanded by the “Faraglioni”, three tall column-shaped islands full of myths and legends. According to one of many local myths, these stones are the ones hurled by Polyphemus at Ulysses boat from the summit of Etna.

Aci Trezza is also famous for its love affair with the writer Giovanni Verga,  here he wrote his most famous novel I Malavoglia (The House by the Medlar tree).

Finally, our journey back to your desired drop off location will end with an ice cream stop.
